Say Hello to White Marble, A New Luxury Residential Development in the Greek Islands

The Agency Team • October 16, 2024

Located on the enchanting island of Thassos, White Marble is an exclusive collection of two-bedroom, two-bathroom residences that represent the future of modern living in the Greek islands. The project is one of several undertaken by the Kourtidis Group in recent years, with The Agency partnering to handle sales.

The Kourtidis Group, recognized for its focus on quality construction and design, aims to create a comfortable living experience for future residents. Each residence includes large balcony doors that allow for ample natural light and indoor-outdoor living. The development is conveniently situated just 140 meters (less than 500 feet) from the Aegean Sea, providing easy access to the coast and the unparalleled lifestyle that comes with it. All twelve residences are set to be completed by mid-year, 2025 and offered at €250,000.

To gain more insight into this development and the island of Thassos as well as what future residents can expect, we spoke with The Agency’s Chrisoula Papatryfon , who is representing U.S. sales for White Marble.

Can you tell us more about Thassos?

Thassos is known as “The Emerald Island” for its natural beauty and lush vegetation. It’s covered with forests, including the famous Thassian pine trees. It offers excellent hiking and nature exploration opportunities, with trails leading to waterfalls, mountain peaks and ancient sites, including ancient marble quarries. At the same time, Thassos has some of the most beautiful beaches in the Greek islands. Golden Beach, Makriammos and Paradise, to name a few, stand out as the most picturesque Thassos beaches.

How can people get to Thassos?

The International Airport of Thessaloniki “Macedonia” is about 45 minutes away, and then you get to Thassos by ferry which takes about 30 minutes and runs daily

Is this the Kourtidis Group’s first residential development in Greece?

The Kourtidis Group has completed multiple projects in Northern Greece over the past 28 years. They’ve focused on the coast and seafront of the city of Kavala and the island of Thassos , turning previously unknown areas into spotlight destinations for the country and on the international stage. The ways that they’ve transformed the landscape and created so many investment opportunities is nothing short of impressive.

Why did they choose to call it White Marble?

Thassos is famous for being home to the finest, whitest marble in the world, so it was a natural theme and name for the project.

What are some of the highlights of White Marble for international buyers?

White Marble, consistent with the Kourtidis group’s model, provides all property and management services to residents, including regular inspections, mail collection, cleaning services and payment of bills, such as taxes. That convenience and peace of mind adds so much value.

How does the local real estate market in Thassos differ from mainland Greece?

The real estate market on Thassos has thrived due to the significant development of the Kourtidis group’s projects. Depending on the region in Greece, it’s more affordable to vacation and invest in properties. But the more development, the more appreciation of real estate!
